Saturday, 30 August 2008. (Merdeka eve)

Went to 1u around 10 am. Meet up Reggie to buy present for our ex-classmate. After buying, went back to my house to get the birthday card done. After that, we went to Ken Yeang's house to pass the present cause both of us are not going for the birthday party.

After that, it was lunch. Me and Reggie had a hard time thinking of what to eat. So Reggie suggested going all the way to Ampang near his house for Korean BBQ. Before that, went to see his new house. The house is HUGE !!!!! Really really like his house. Regretted i didn't take my camera along. After that we went for lunch. Total : rm99.00. Not to say its worth it or not, but the rice was freaking expensieve, rm5 for a bowl of rice. but overall it was okay.

Now i know, from school to Reggie house takes ages to reach. So really can't blame him at all for being late to school. On the way, you pass through Batu caves, the turning into genting and zoo negara. That is how far his house is.

Dinner was good. Had steamboat with my parents. It was seriously worth it. Total: rm66+ for the 3 of us. And i was bloated after eating. As i'm typing now, it is 8 more minutes to merdeka day. But couldn't be bothred to go for countdown. Honestly i'm not really patriotic to my country. Just like the idea of an extra day holiday on Monday, thats all =p

Random pictures...

Since there is nothing much to type..so i'll just upload some random pictures instead.

This is went you have nothing to do in class. You actually train to sign properly. Make sure its 1 whole page. Good for next time when you sign for credit card payments.
My class practices GAY culture. To you, it may be disgusting, but to us, Form 5 Edison students, its totally NORMAL. On the left, Faiz, the class monitor. On the right, Charles.
Look at this monkey here. People busy cracking their head doing add maths, he goes eating his 'Dinner'. His dinner: Ayam Goreng McD, Fillet o Fish, large coke and large fries. Thank god he did not add McFlurry for dessert.

The next photos are not random. Its more photos from Perth and stuff i bought over there.
Sunset at 5.45pm. Simply beautiful. (Using my Sony Ericsson W810i phone camera)

Another picture of the beach at Perth. (Using my Panasonic x66 phone camera)

The Nike t-shirt that i bought. Simple but nice.

Check out the price. 15 Aussie dollars. Plus the 30% discount i got, you do the math yourself and tell me whether its worth it or not.

You don't see this in Malaysia. The taste is pretty good providing you like mango.

If anyone is going to Australia, please get this for me. I love this !!!

Fruit candy. It actually has the shape of the fruit representing the flavour. For example, orange fruit is orange flavour or passion fruit for passion fruit flavour.

Trial 1 Results.

Not much of a disaster than i thought it would be. All those that i expect to screw up big time are really screwed up.. So here are my results:

Bahasa Melayu: 64% (The way Mr. Selvam marks the paper, it really very difficult to get high marks.)
English: 81% (I'm actually not sure with the marks. Will change it once i've found out the actual one.)
Sejarah: 52% (Improvement from mid-year, and at least i didn't flung the paper)
Maths: 72% ( What the hell man..could have got A2 if i didn't make all the careless mistakes..)
Moral: forget it. I won't tell. All i can say is i barely pass.
Physics: 72% (Thanks to my paper 3, i miss out on A2 again..)
Chemistry: 56% (Paper 2 was the killer, 48/100. )
Add Maths: 53% (Same like Sejarah, i've improved from mid-year)
Accounts: I feel like dropping this subject. Don't ask why.

Already got fufill 2/3 of the requirements to enter Sunway College, but still got to work hard to get A.

Next post: Random pictures i took.

Yow Phelps ?!?!?!?!?!

Trial 1 wasn't as bad as i expected though. But those subect that i expected to fail..well there's nothing to say. Will post the results once i got the official marks back.

Today something funny was said during chemistry class. We all know the famous Michael Phelps, right? Don't know why this suddenly came out. We were all talking about Michael Phelps and all. Suddenly Lucas created this in relation to our chem teacher, Mr. Yow.

Michael Phelps.

Now imagine..

YOW PHELPS !!!!

Consequences suffered by Lucas: Standing at the back of the class facing the notice boards.
Lesson: Do not ever compare your very strict chemistry teacher to a world class swimmer.

(Note: sorry i couldn't get mr.yow's picture. if i got it, i will edit this post. =D)

Perth, Western Australia '08 (continued 2)

Day 4: Pinnacles Desert/Lancelin Sand Dunes
Throughout the whole trip, this was the most exciting day i've experience. So the day started when we had breakfast. Typical western breakfast..toast, omelette , bacon and baked beans. This breakfast is the best breakfast i had since a long time. Didn't bring my camera out of the room..so did not take any photos of the food. After breakfast we have to pack up and leave for the Pinnacles desert. But before that we took a group photo.
It actually took 4 shots to get a nice picture.

Once we left, we head further up north to the Pinnacles Desert. On the way i took a photo of the modern windmill
At the desert, we can see loads of limestone formation appearing from the ground. There area about 3000 of them if i'm not mistaken.
The limestones. No one is allowed to touch the stone all you will be fined 5000 aussie dollars.
Looks kind of distorted..

After this, we went for lunch. This is also one of the best lunch i had for a while.
This is what i ordered. Grilled Steak. Australian beef. Cook to perfection. Doesn't it tempt you?? =D
My mum's order. Grilled chicken. Not bad but not great.
My dad's order. Grilled fish. Did not try it cause i had to finish my mum's portion.

Once lunch is done, we went to Lancelin Sand Dunes which was about an hour's drive from the restaurant. Another long trip again. But after the activities done at the sand dunes, it was definitely worth the time.

Now you know going around sand dunes needs a 4-wheel drive vehicle, right? Something like this..
But you are SO WRONG !!

Have you ever imagine of sitting a school bus of this size??
This is no joke. I did not use any photoshop tricks or whatsoever. This is for real. A school bus that has been modified into the bigfoot version for the tour around the sand dunes.
Look at the size of the wheel. I'm just slightly taller than the wheel.

Here's a little bit about this bus, the sits have springs on it. That means your seat has a spring-like feeling when you sit on it. This is because driving around the sand dunes is really and i mean REALLY bumpy. So this seats are really needed. Plus the huge wheels making it impossible to get stuck in sand. It was a hell of a ride. It was really really fun. I URGE EVERYONE to try it and i promise you will love it. So we went to one of the high areas of the sand dunes for sand boarding. This activity is also quite fun. But brilliantly my camera was out of battery. Crap man..i'm was experiencing the best part of the tour and the camera battery just had to finish. So once everything was done, it was time to head back to Perth City. It took about 2 hours ++. Thats pretty much about day 4.

Day 5: Shopping around Perth
Golfers went for golf at the Vines. Once again i miss out on golf again. But went shopping. Didn't take any photos actually. Nothing interesting to take. The best part was going to Nike factory outlet. I love that place. It can be my 2nd home. The stuff there are extremely cheap. For example i bought a t-shirt for just 10.50. Not fake. Original nike. I did took a photo of my shirt but haven't upload it yet on the computer. So next time la..But loads of sweets as well. Mango flavoured tic tacs, Wonka Nerds candy and Eclipse Chewing Gum. All not available in Malaysia. =(. After dinner we went straight to the airport. And this was the last photo i took from the trip at the airport.

From left: My mum, Yuen Huei, Me, Tim (our tour guide/driver), Yuen Huei's mum.

And thats about my trip to Perth, Australia. I definitely would want to go back there. Maybe even work there. But who knows ?? Only time will tell..haihz..I really really miss Perth now..

Perth, Western Australia '08 (continued)

Day 3: Caversham Wildlife Park/Bindoon Windmill Farmstay
This day is going to be rather long cause i took loads of photos on this day. So from Perth City to this farm took us about more than 1 hour. So this time i chose to sleep in the bus than stare outside the window. But before we went to the farm, we drop by at Caversham Wildlife Park to see some animals we don't get to see at Zoo Negara.
First animal we saw, the kangaroo. Now notice whats on the ground. Instead of trying to avoid from stepping the kangaroo's tail, i had a bloody hard time trying to avoid stepping kangaroo sh*t.
White kangaroo.
A wombat ( i think...)
This one is too common. If you don't know what animal is this, i suggest you go jump off a high building.
Rare picture captured. It was difficult to get a good shot..
Acting proud on the fence. Nice picture though..
This is by far the FATTEST WOMBAT I"VE EVER SEEN IN MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE !!!
If the kangaroo stands up, i think its taller than Yao Ming..
The next best alarm clock after the chicken. Its seriously damn loud..
Koala bear. In 24 hours, they sleep 20 hours and eat for 4 hours. What a life..
A meditating wombat.

After touring this park, we went to the chocolate factory. Not really to see them make chocolate but to buy chocolates.
Try guessing how much is one piece of this chocolates. They are all the same price.

The trip to the chocolate factory was just to entertain the children cause the next place we went was a winery shop. Something for the adults.
Because it was winter, nothing grows on the winery.

After buying 6 bottles of wine, we went straight to the farm. Take note, the wine here is dead cheap, like 14 aussie dollars for a bottle for the cheaper one..
Sheeps that were ready for sheering.
Lunch. Grilled sausages, lamb and chicken. Love it !!!

After lunch, all the kids had the chance to feed the animals.
The little lamb being fed.
Inside the chicken coop.

After feeding the animals, we went for horse riding.

If you own one of this, you can save your money on igallop. Mind you, they are pretty difficult to climb up.

After the horse riding we went to the nearest fruit orchard at Orchard Road. Nope, i have not flew back to Singapore but thats the name of the road. Because there are so many fruit orchards along the road, they named it Orchard Road. (Warning to girls: You don't find any LV or Gucci bags here, you find oranges and grapefruits instead =p)
forgotten what plant is this..
Its not a cherry blossom tree. Its a peach tree.
Orange tree.
The sorting process of oranges.

After visiting the fruit orchard, we went back to the farm and continue feeding more animal. This time further into the farm.
The kids feeding the kangaroo.
Sheeps on the hill. I tell you, nearly every sheep has a name. I'm not lying. You can go there and see it for yourself.
You will be wondering why this plants are fenced up..the reason is this plants are poisonous. The amount there is enough to kill the entire people in a city. No joke. And i brought some back..so don't ever ever piss me off...
Me and my parents at the hill. Its freezing out there. The temperatures up there is much colder than below the hill.
This huge Ramly burger here has a name. Its called Snoopy.

After all the activities, we went back to rest in our rooms until dinner. So this is what i ate for dinner.
Rice with curry chicken, pork, mixed vegetables and fried chicken with bread crumbs. Simple yet nice.

I had wine that was bought earlier. Just love it. Not like those cheap rm30 that is use for big functions. Love the smell and the taste.
This is pure Australian ice cream. Have you ever wondered why mcd's ice cream is freaking cheap. Well according to the owner of this farm, he said that those ice cream contain 98% air if i'm not mistaken. So actually we are paying rm1 for air. Interesting fact. Yeah and because i manage to scoop the ice cream into a nice round ball, Yuen Huei and Wei Li asked me whether i've worked as an ice cream man. Swt..(just for your info, the ice cream brand is called Peter's. Try some if you happen to be in Australia.)

After dinner, we had one activity left, which is making wool into thread.
It shows how from a piece of wool from a sheep turns into a thick thread.
I got my hands on trying to make it. Now you may think this is a sissy job for girls but you are so bloody wrong. Well it is for girls cause girls have more patience. Its not easy doing this. The hard part is moving that wheel with your right foot while pulling the thread that is form from the wool. Even difficult to make an even size thread.

Due to the slow pokeness speed of the photos being uploaded, i will continue day 4 and the end of the tour in the next post. =D
