Perth, Western Australia '08 (continued)

Day 3: Caversham Wildlife Park/Bindoon Windmill Farmstay
This day is going to be rather long cause i took loads of photos on this day. So from Perth City to this farm took us about more than 1 hour. So this time i chose to sleep in the bus than stare outside the window. But before we went to the farm, we drop by at Caversham Wildlife Park to see some animals we don't get to see at Zoo Negara.
First animal we saw, the kangaroo. Now notice whats on the ground. Instead of trying to avoid from stepping the kangaroo's tail, i had a bloody hard time trying to avoid stepping kangaroo sh*t.
White kangaroo.
A wombat ( i think...)
This one is too common. If you don't know what animal is this, i suggest you go jump off a high building.
Rare picture captured. It was difficult to get a good shot..
Acting proud on the fence. Nice picture though..
This is by far the FATTEST WOMBAT I"VE EVER SEEN IN MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE !!!
If the kangaroo stands up, i think its taller than Yao Ming..
The next best alarm clock after the chicken. Its seriously damn loud..
Koala bear. In 24 hours, they sleep 20 hours and eat for 4 hours. What a life..
A meditating wombat.

After touring this park, we went to the chocolate factory. Not really to see them make chocolate but to buy chocolates.
Try guessing how much is one piece of this chocolates. They are all the same price.

The trip to the chocolate factory was just to entertain the children cause the next place we went was a winery shop. Something for the adults.
Because it was winter, nothing grows on the winery.

After buying 6 bottles of wine, we went straight to the farm. Take note, the wine here is dead cheap, like 14 aussie dollars for a bottle for the cheaper one..
Sheeps that were ready for sheering.
Lunch. Grilled sausages, lamb and chicken. Love it !!!

After lunch, all the kids had the chance to feed the animals.
The little lamb being fed.
Inside the chicken coop.

After feeding the animals, we went for horse riding.

If you own one of this, you can save your money on igallop. Mind you, they are pretty difficult to climb up.

After the horse riding we went to the nearest fruit orchard at Orchard Road. Nope, i have not flew back to Singapore but thats the name of the road. Because there are so many fruit orchards along the road, they named it Orchard Road. (Warning to girls: You don't find any LV or Gucci bags here, you find oranges and grapefruits instead =p)
forgotten what plant is this..
Its not a cherry blossom tree. Its a peach tree.
Orange tree.
The sorting process of oranges.

After visiting the fruit orchard, we went back to the farm and continue feeding more animal. This time further into the farm.
The kids feeding the kangaroo.
Sheeps on the hill. I tell you, nearly every sheep has a name. I'm not lying. You can go there and see it for yourself.
You will be wondering why this plants are fenced up..the reason is this plants are poisonous. The amount there is enough to kill the entire people in a city. No joke. And i brought some back..so don't ever ever piss me off...
Me and my parents at the hill. Its freezing out there. The temperatures up there is much colder than below the hill.
This huge Ramly burger here has a name. Its called Snoopy.

After all the activities, we went back to rest in our rooms until dinner. So this is what i ate for dinner.
Rice with curry chicken, pork, mixed vegetables and fried chicken with bread crumbs. Simple yet nice.

I had wine that was bought earlier. Just love it. Not like those cheap rm30 that is use for big functions. Love the smell and the taste.
This is pure Australian ice cream. Have you ever wondered why mcd's ice cream is freaking cheap. Well according to the owner of this farm, he said that those ice cream contain 98% air if i'm not mistaken. So actually we are paying rm1 for air. Interesting fact. Yeah and because i manage to scoop the ice cream into a nice round ball, Yuen Huei and Wei Li asked me whether i've worked as an ice cream man. Swt..(just for your info, the ice cream brand is called Peter's. Try some if you happen to be in Australia.)

After dinner, we had one activity left, which is making wool into thread.
It shows how from a piece of wool from a sheep turns into a thick thread.
I got my hands on trying to make it. Now you may think this is a sissy job for girls but you are so bloody wrong. Well it is for girls cause girls have more patience. Its not easy doing this. The hard part is moving that wheel with your right foot while pulling the thread that is form from the wool. Even difficult to make an even size thread.

Due to the slow pokeness speed of the photos being uploaded, i will continue day 4 and the end of the tour in the next post. =D

Perth, Western Australia '08

The trip began on the 17th August 2008 where i had to go to the airport at 7.30 am. Mind you although its quite early, but i tell you..the queue to check in is FREAKING LONG. The management is seriously stupid man. Just open a few bloody counters also cannot. This is their so called cost saving step. My A*S la..Forget about that..cause it was a tour, so check in was pretty quick. Once we went in, this was the first few pictures i took inside.

The plane that i was going to board. I know its weird. Just take this picture as a test for my camera.
Just to give an idea of what happens around before take off.

Inflight Food.
Just look at the photos and you will see what Malaysia Airlines serves for breakfast. There were 2 choices to choose:
1st choice: Omelette with sausage, tomato and hash brown, Crossaint, fruits and some cake which i still haven't figure out what was it.(i chose this)
Appearance: Horrendous. Look at that miserable piece of hash brown on the botttom right of the plate. And that tiny crossaint
Taste: Not too bad. Much better than its appearance.
2nd choice: Nasi lemak with sotong and rendang, crossaint, fruits and again the cake which is a mystery to me.
Appearance: Not too bad, compared to AirAsia's nasi lemak. Just a little too dry.
Taste: No idea. Only my mum knows.
Inflight Entertainment
There a few choices of movies to watch. Among them was Iron man, Kung Fu Panda and others which i can't remember. The best part of this inflight entertainment was that i could control whatever i watch or i play. This option only applies to the Boeing 777 and Boeing 747 fleet for MAS. So i watch Kung Fu Panda

The movie was quite funny. Not too bad. At least it kept me entertained during the flight
Games wise..it was horrible. The games were quite lame. Only game that i had fun playing was Bejeweled 2 but it was laggy..so not that much fun. Because i was playing the games, i miss out on watching iron man. Totally regretted. Maybe i can watch it on tv next time.
1st day
Landed at Perth about 3 something in the evening. Only came out of the terminal about 4.30 pm. The custom checking was very very strict. So i didn't get stuck in the queue since i had nothing to declare and was the first from my tour to go out of the terminal. My mum got stuck inside because of the long queue. Met our tour guide, Tim once everyone was out. So this are the first few pictures i took from the airport to the hotel.
Houses in Perth. Very seldom if you see a double storey house.
Crossing over Swan River.
Local circus at Victoria Park.
This is something you don't see in Malaysia. Instead of calling it a 'Carwash', they call it a 'carbath' at Perth. What a way to pamper your car. LOL

Day 2: Mandurah and Freemantle.
Golfers went for golf at Joondalup, north of Perth city. The rest went for tour at Mandurah and Freemantle. It is an hour's drive from Perth city to Mandurah. So i look out the window throughout while listening to my iPod. Reach Mandurah Bay an hour later and we board a ferry to tour around Mandurah Bay.
Entrance to Mandurah Bay.
Buliding and house. Mind you, they aren't as cheap as Malaysian property. You have to work your a*s off to own one of this properties.
Boats along docks of Mandurah Bay.
Dolphins. There are quite still difficult to be captured on camera. This is the best i caught.
Some kind of memorial service for the soldiers of some war which i don't know
This is what i call LUXURY. It has a freaking tennis court of its own. According to the tour guide of the ferry, this house is own by an Australian celebrity if i'm not mistaken. This is his holiday home. Try imagining his actual house...
Now according the tour guide, this house cost $ 8 million aussie dollars. I'm not pulling your leg, even if i was, blame the tour guide. This is just the front part of the house. I didn't manage to capture the back of the house.
The view from the boat.
This is lunch. 2 huge pieces of fish and loads of french fries. The portion was huge !! I couldn't even finish the whole thing.
After lunch, we drove back down to tour around Freemantle.
View of the Indian Ocean from Freemantle port.
Freemantle Church
Freemantle Prison-Just like our very own Pudu Jail, open to visitors. People actually organize events such as birthday parties and even weddings in this prison. What a place !!!
A beach near Freemantle. Even if it is winter, people actually still sunbath here. But its not that cold..so yeah.
After Freemantle, we went to Kings Park located somewhere near the city.
View of Perth city on the way to Kings Park. Look at the tree..damn smooth. haha
Some monument in memory of the those who died in wars.
One of the nicest pictures i took on this trip. A picture of Perth City from Kings Park.
Closer view of Perth City. You barely see any traffic jams around.
Introduction of Kings Park at the entrance

That's about day 2. I still have loads of pictures but due the speed of the pictures loading, i'll show just this much. Will continue with day 3 and 4 in the next post =D
