Perth, Western Australia '08 (continued 2)

Day 4: Pinnacles Desert/Lancelin Sand Dunes
Throughout the whole trip, this was the most exciting day i've experience. So the day started when we had breakfast. Typical western breakfast..toast, omelette , bacon and baked beans. This breakfast is the best breakfast i had since a long time. Didn't bring my camera out of the room..so did not take any photos of the food. After breakfast we have to pack up and leave for the Pinnacles desert. But before that we took a group photo.
It actually took 4 shots to get a nice picture.

Once we left, we head further up north to the Pinnacles Desert. On the way i took a photo of the modern windmill
At the desert, we can see loads of limestone formation appearing from the ground. There area about 3000 of them if i'm not mistaken.
The limestones. No one is allowed to touch the stone all you will be fined 5000 aussie dollars.
Looks kind of distorted..

After this, we went for lunch. This is also one of the best lunch i had for a while.
This is what i ordered. Grilled Steak. Australian beef. Cook to perfection. Doesn't it tempt you?? =D
My mum's order. Grilled chicken. Not bad but not great.
My dad's order. Grilled fish. Did not try it cause i had to finish my mum's portion.

Once lunch is done, we went to Lancelin Sand Dunes which was about an hour's drive from the restaurant. Another long trip again. But after the activities done at the sand dunes, it was definitely worth the time.

Now you know going around sand dunes needs a 4-wheel drive vehicle, right? Something like this..
But you are SO WRONG !!

Have you ever imagine of sitting a school bus of this size??
This is no joke. I did not use any photoshop tricks or whatsoever. This is for real. A school bus that has been modified into the bigfoot version for the tour around the sand dunes.
Look at the size of the wheel. I'm just slightly taller than the wheel.

Here's a little bit about this bus, the sits have springs on it. That means your seat has a spring-like feeling when you sit on it. This is because driving around the sand dunes is really and i mean REALLY bumpy. So this seats are really needed. Plus the huge wheels making it impossible to get stuck in sand. It was a hell of a ride. It was really really fun. I URGE EVERYONE to try it and i promise you will love it. So we went to one of the high areas of the sand dunes for sand boarding. This activity is also quite fun. But brilliantly my camera was out of battery. Crap man..i'm was experiencing the best part of the tour and the camera battery just had to finish. So once everything was done, it was time to head back to Perth City. It took about 2 hours ++. Thats pretty much about day 4.

Day 5: Shopping around Perth
Golfers went for golf at the Vines. Once again i miss out on golf again. But went shopping. Didn't take any photos actually. Nothing interesting to take. The best part was going to Nike factory outlet. I love that place. It can be my 2nd home. The stuff there are extremely cheap. For example i bought a t-shirt for just 10.50. Not fake. Original nike. I did took a photo of my shirt but haven't upload it yet on the computer. So next time la..But loads of sweets as well. Mango flavoured tic tacs, Wonka Nerds candy and Eclipse Chewing Gum. All not available in Malaysia. =(. After dinner we went straight to the airport. And this was the last photo i took from the trip at the airport.

From left: My mum, Yuen Huei, Me, Tim (our tour guide/driver), Yuen Huei's mum.

And thats about my trip to Perth, Australia. I definitely would want to go back there. Maybe even work there. But who knows ?? Only time will tell..haihz..I really really miss Perth now..
